At Ricky's we believe it is very important to get involved with the community. Not only do we sponsor local ball hockey and baseball team but we like to ensure that those teams give back to the community as well. The Gazoo are a great example of a team that gives back to the community there support for our variety weekends has been crucial to the success of the event as well as there time put in towards the Suneeta Bains Foundation dinner was much appreciated. Great job guys, keep up the good work on and off the hockey rink!

On Saturday May 1st, 2010 our RICKY's All Day Grill at Central City Mall - Surrey helped the BCCCPA (BC Childhood Cancer Parent's Association) kick off this years "BC's Biggest Breakfast!" Fundraiser. The BCCCPA is an organization that provides monetary aide to families with a child with cancer, and are struggling financially. The funds are dispersed through the social workers at BC Children's Hospital, Surrey Memorial's Pediatric Oncology Ward and Victoria General Hospital. Since BCCCPA began, they've raised over $350,000 & have helped over 300 families from over 200 communities from all over the province of BC! Though this was BCCCPA's 4th year of their "Breakfast" campaign, it was the first time that Ricky's became involved, and it was a great success! Ricky's has done it again.

Once again Ricky's All Day Grill in Central City has surpassed its annual fundraising record, with more than $10,100 collected for Variety Club.

The restaurant started the annual fundraising weekend in 2006 and in the past six years has contributed more than $55,000 to the cause.

"it's the overwhelming support of this community that allows us to make this contribution every year," said Mike Bains, owner and manager.

Through the weekend of Feb. 12 and 13, $5 from every meal sold was donated to Variety Club. In addition, staff donated their shifts and they raffled off donated prizes.

"Every year our event gets better, and we see more new faces coming forward to help the kids," Bains said.
